The Bagpipe Manual has a considerable amount of detailed instructions covering the training of fingers, defining the rhythm of the various time signatures, through to blowing and tuning bagpipes. 

Because of the wide variety of fingers and finger movements plus the complex way the human mind receives information there will still be areas of uncertainty for pipers.

Having written The Bagpipe Manual plus many years of teaching experience, I am able to identify and correct areas that limit piper’s progress. This inevitably leads to an improved standard of piping.

Piobaireachd has been a major part of my teaching. I enjoy teaching from the learner level, through to The Piobaireachd Society set tunes for New Zealand and Scotland.
